Coaching Methods
In my practice as a coach and therapist I have developed tools to help my clients create and sustain change. My goal is to help you live the life you want NOW.
Life Coaching using Cognitive Behavior Theory (CBT) Methods
CBT is one of the most effective ways to help change. It works by identifying the areas of life that you want to change and then the negative thought patterns that may be preventing the change. CBT helps to restructure thought patterns that are getting in the way and create a positive shift on how you feel (both mentally and physically) and the actions you want to take to create change.
The use of CBT in life coaching has a high level of success and helps you to achieve your goals, whether it is in the personal, professional, social, or cultural areas. An individualized program is developed in collaboration with you to address the problem areas and help you achieve the change you want NOW.
Life Coaching using Solution-Focused Methods
Solution-focused methods target what works rather than what is wrong. It emphasizes the strengths and resources you already have and we work together to help you reach your goals and resolve problems rapidly.
I will help you identify steps to problem-solve for desired solutions and use your strengths and what is already working in your life to make the change you want NOW. Rather than searching for the causes of the problem, we will focus is on defining the changes and making them a reality.
Life Coaching using Motivational Interviewing Methods
Motivational interviewing is one of the most effective ways to bring about change and helps you to better understand where you are in the stages of change. The strategy is for you to think differently about your life, envision a better future, and ultimately identify what will be gained through change.
Often you can feel motivated to change and yet still not make change. This is frustrating! I am here to help you learn how to make the change you want NOW and become increasingly motivated to achieve your goals.
