Cognition is our thoughts – it’s how we think about ourselves, others and events. Our thoughts then can trigger our feelings and behaviors. If we use unhelpful thoughts patterns, then we may inadvertently experience negative feelings and behaviors.
Coaching around cognition helps to identify more helpful thought patterns that help you better understand your perception of problems and situations. The focus is on stimulating thought and increasing awareness rather than providing a correct answer.
